Cindy S. Orser, Ph.D., Chief Scientific Officer
Prior to launching ASDx Biosystems Corporation, Dr. Orser was the VP of Research & Development and cofounder at Adlyfe Inc. a biotechnology company founded in Rockville, MD to bring to market innovative diagnostic products for neurodegenerative diseases.
As President and founder of Big Sky Biosystems, Inc. she has provided scientific, technical, regulatory and strategic affairs consulting for the molecular and medical diagnostics industry and Federal government. In addition, she served as Corporate Senior Scientist and Head of the Biodefense/ Biotechnology Initiative at Areté Associates, as the Director of Scientific Affairs at Phytotech Inc., now NuCycle Therapy Inc., in Princeton NJ, as group leader at Xenometrix Inc., a molecular toxicology company in Boulder CO, and as a tenured professor of biochemistry and bacteriology at the University of Idaho.
Dr. Orser has a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley where she discovered the molecular basis of bacterial ice nucleation to be a single genic trait. Dr. Orser is the author of 18 issued and pending patents and 41 peer-reviewed publications.
